I really liked the cousin too, I wasn't expecting to. And I really enjoyed the relationship with his wife. I did enjoy the stuff with Joyce and Cully but I really liked their dynamic a lot.
Also Sykes. Best dog actor ever!

Oooo thank you for reminding me about Endeavour! I saw the first series...and it was soooo good, but it haven't watched the rest yet. It's going to the top of my list : )

I wasn't sure I was going to like Capaldi, esp as he's been in both DW and Torchwood before, but I think they're going to incorporate those appearances into the storyline by the looks of it and I'm liking the new grumpy persona. It'll happen eventually although it's a bummer as Alex Kingston would have been my first choice for the Doctor. They're usually pretty good with casting so I expect they're just waiting for the right woman to come along x
