Drive By

Just a super quick rec.

A 20min radio broadcast on the challenges of English to non-native speakers (yes, that means you too US contingent) presented by Henning Wehn, a German comedian who's relatively well known here (and very funny : )

Thought you guys might find it interesting. I know now why I'm so damn confused all the time. I may move to Germany : ) xx

I absolutely loved listening to this, not only being a German, but also being a linguist. So many interesting bits and bobs! Also, there's a German comedian successfully doing stand-up for a English native audience. That is awesome and weird and more awesome!

I thought it was quite interesting! And fun too, esp after some of the conversations I've had on here regarding semantics and regional differences.
I've seen him on TV a couple of times, so I wasn't sure if he was famous in Germany too or whether he's been here too long : ) I know Eddie Izzard does stand up in France and I think maybe Germany but I don't know many other comics that do that kind of crossover : )
I'm glad it was interesting! : ) xx
