As you may know, my muse has been under the weather lately. However, today her fever broke long enough for me to fill a prompt for a comment fic and I managed to write something that I actually liked for the first time in what feels like forever.
I think Hell time and museless time runs on a very similar clock.
Anyway the prompt from tigriswolf was  Supernatural, Lucifer, angelfall

It was dark in the cage and so far away but he knew.

He felt it the moment it happened, like a blade, diamond sharp, run across Heaven's abdomen, the contents spilling through the rupturing flesh, the mass bulging and then flooding out.

He could hear the screams, the pain pouring like syrup, like clouds of smoke that smelt of burning feathers finding his nostrils. He breathed it in.

Then the sound, raindrops on a tin roof, few at first and then like a summer downpour, deafening.

He turned to Michael and smiled, drinking in his tears.

It was beautiful.

I miss Lucifer. He makes me all warm and fuzzy inside : ) x

It frustrates the hell out of me that I'm finding it so hard to get anything down at the moment, so it was lovely that this just kind of happened today.
I think maybe I've been trying too hard not to be so dark. Also canon is screwing with the fic I want to write at the mo (stupid Amelia is stupid *pouts*)
Maybe I should just stick with Lucifer for a while : ) x

There was a time when I had to write really dark fic because canon was troubling me so. I think maybe the readers didn't know what to do with it, but it helped me through it. But Lucy fics are always a good thing!

I think it helps that I started out quite dark...actually it was really pretty dark but I started out here hoping for feedback to be a better writer but I got concerned that putting out ultra violent wincest may be a bit too much of a niche readership to really get that.
But I suppose, like Neil Gaiman said, if you don't write for yourself first and foremost then you get left with nothing anyway...also I think you've just inadvertently fixed my Amelia problem!
