Yesterday was long. So long it didn't finish until the early hours of this morning. There were many tears of frustration and panic but I'm almost done. Just waiting for Createspace to do its thing and then I can get back to the fun stuff : )

But right now, I'm led out with the dog, feeling like a wet noodle and trying to will myself to go get something decent to eat. Except I just have to listen to this song one more time.

So, I just found out my short story will be included in the Valentines Anthology from Love Lane Books next month. Luckily, I was lying down already. I'm fricken excited but also kinda having an unexpected "Aw shit...I guess that means I have to work at this thing now" moment.

But in other, not unrelated news, a complete stranger – not a fangirl or RL friend or anyone who gives two shits about how I feel – read my Halloween story and really liked it! I made a complete stranger cry and feel sad \0/ Go me! So that's taking the edge off my burgeoning panic about this other thing.

Already thinking about The Further Adventures of Daniel and Elliot.

Maybe something for Easter.

So, I'm gearing up to edit I Stumble Forward into something more...manuscript-ish...just coz I always promised myself I would, and I'm at the point where I need to change the names to protect the innocent.

So, I've had some thoughts...not all of them good, but I figured I'd ask as I'm shit at this, and you guys are fricken awesome.

Anyway...I don't think this is spoilery if you think you might wanna read it...although you've had a year, goddammit! It's not War and Peace, people! Although it has been described as "harrowing" in places so it might be best if you haven't...*coughs*

The crazy times are almost over!

Visitors leaving tomorrow and TWRBB to post, then I'm just back to the regular mad rush work stuff...which I can handle...for two weeks or so.

Spent three hours ~~cuddling dogs~~ taking photos at the RSPCA this morning. It was definitely adorable, there were a couple of heartrending moments but I thought I did quite well to come home without a puppy up my jumper. I was, however, stinking and had to jump straight in the shower. Luckily the bus driver didn't kick me off for smelling of dog pee : /

Got fourteen dogs to draw now...and then I get to go back again! \0/

Also, I don't really do favourites but this guy...

...this guy was hilarious and sweet. Milo, 10 months old, removed from an unsuitable home (read - great big head, skinny body like a whippet. poor baby) I took him out for a walk and he was so well behaved for his age and was such fun. Didn't feel like my dog but he's going to make someone a great friend : )

...or not, and fucking hate yourself for it.

NEEDED!!

- A New Yorker with infinite patience and a reasonable knowledge of the city and it's workings, that I can fire questions at in no discernible order, so I don't end up sounding like an idiot for mentioning places that I may have passed through once with horrendous jet lag or glanced at on a map and thought, "Meh, that sounds okay." or have made up from watching too much Castle, Cagney and Lacey, and Murder She Wrote.

They've killed off my favorite character...and not for story reasons either, just coz one of the higher ups wants to get the fangirls riled up so we talk about it in social media I'm guessing...but either way, finding it hard to find the motivation to watch it. Which is something I never thought I'd say. I'm tempted to start back at the beginning and do a complete watch through. I should catch up in time for the start of S11 : ) Yeah. Imma do that : )
