In other news, still feeling the supergorgeous buzz of soserendipity claiming my fic for the BB...and THEN getting to nab the wonderful namichan89's story to do art for!! I'm so happy about that : )

Still wondering whether or not to bother catching up with spn in time for the finale. They've killed off my favorite character...and not for story reasons either, just coz one of the higher ups wants to get the fangirls riled up so we talk about it in social media I'm guessing...but either way, finding it hard to find the motivation to watch it. Which is something I never thought I'd say. I'm tempted to start back at the beginning and do a complete watch through. I should catch up in time for the start of S11 : ) Yeah. Imma do that : )

Yay! I'm so excited that you're joining us for the sterek big bang! I can't wait to see what you create! Also, destiel+sterek shipper here as well, though I've not been active in the destiel fandom since my submission to the DeanCasBigBang. :/ Whoops.

(sorry, I'm a little excited because when I created the Sterek Big Bang two years ago- um what, its been that long?????- I hadn't expected it to even have a second round, forget a third.)

Yay!! I've started an AU and I'm just praying I can get it done in time. I'm hoping the deadline will chivvy me along a bit : ) I've never written them before so it's kinda nerve wracking : )

It is sort of nerve-wracking. I did the DCBB for my first ever big bang and boy oh boy was that stressfull. =.= Its way more rigid and well planned out that us, so the deadlines were terrifying. But hey, we're pretty chill, though we do have general deadlines. I hope you have fun!

I'd recommend starting from the Pilot! I started re-re-rewatching the other day, and it feels sooo good!

Consider stopping after the end of season 5 and viewing the story as a tragedy. It might help.

That bit's no longer canon for me. For me, canon is the first 5 seasons, less that scene. I give s6 and parts of s7 a sort of semi-official pass but everything after that I just regard as professional fan fiction - of extremely variable quality. s1-5 tell a complete story, but that story is a tragedy. And I suspect that's what Kripke always intended.

I think he never anticipated going past S5 so the story just never had the attention that it deserved from that point on. I feel conflicted about everything after that. Still, the dross is worth sitting through for the really great moments...but yeah...it is just a TV show after all : ) Thank god for fanfiction! We write it way better than they do : ) xx
