NEEDED!!

- A New Yorker with infinite patience and a reasonable knowledge of the city and it's workings, that I can fire questions at in no discernible order, so I don't end up sounding like an idiot for mentioning places that I may have passed through once with horrendous jet lag or glanced at on a map and thought, "Meh, that sounds okay." or have made up from watching too much Castle, Cagney and Lacey, and Murder She Wrote.

I will owe you any number of favours. And possibly sex.

I'm not a born-and-bred New Yorker, but lived in Brooklyn briefly, then right across the river in Jersey for almost eight years. I worked in lower Manhattan for the same amount of time.

. . . and got lost in Central Park. Twice. But that's just between you, me, and the lamppost, right?

Do you have Google Earth? I find that a very useful tool for scouting locations I've never been to. It's as close as I can get to being there. Mind you, if it's the insides of buildings you're worried about describing, they'll have to invent a new app for that :S

Google Earth is a godsend but this is more for the demographics of certain areas, stuff like that. I never strive for 100% accuracy but just enough that I don't get lynched by any New Yorkers should I visit : ) xx

No, exactly! My guys are walking around in the middle of the night and stuff so I don't want them to be in a place where that wouldn't be safe. Or be living somewhere that's clearly out of their price range, that kinda thing. Thank all the gods for fandom though!! As a resource I don't think it can be beat. Sure is! :D We have Dragon Boat Racing in Auckland harbour over the summer, though I haven't been for a number of years, due to moving south. One year I went and just took hundreds of b&w's for my portfolio. Always a great day out.
