1. Drawing JDM

2-10 (see #1.)

I'm ill so I don't care.

Pencil on watercolour paper - I'm trying to learn not to use too much contrast...coz I do that. I did the main drawing using a 5H pencil, then added more detail with a B and then a 2B...Cannot decide for the life of me which one I like best...I'm thinking the middle one...x

ETA - quickreaver suggested altering it in PS to see how it looked...coz she''s a freakin' genius!

Yeah, I always fuck it up by going too dark *shakes fist at self* I might work on it a bit tomorrow if my mom lets me (JFC, I'm 42 years old and that is an actual thing!)
Throat is full of pus and I have a temperature so gonna see the doc tomorrow : ( Thought it might go away by it's self but I feel bad. My flat is a MESS I was going to try to clean up today but I've just been lying around coughing. Hopefully I can do some before she arrives : /

oh god you poor thing :(( can't you go see one tonight?? esp because you have a fever and clearly need antibiotics. we have 24 hrs medical service over here and it doesn't cost a penny extra, don't you have that where you're at? Trying to get an appointment here is just insane. I have asthma, so any breathing related thing, I can wave that in their faces and they squeeze me in but I'm okay. I can wait til the morning. I could go to A&E but then you have to wait for 6 hours to see a medical student that hasn't slept in three days...it's not worth it for this.

*squeezes you* I like his tie in no 3. It's the wrong paper really...I think the darker it is the more I can see the texture which is annoying.
There is nothing to know about art other than what you like and what makes you happy : )

How can you still draw so awesomely while you're sick as a dog? I hope at least it distracted you from how poorly you're feeling. It sounds like strep. You need antibiotics ASAP. Don't worry about your place being a mess, I've always found when it happens to me, that my mother always seems to feel even more useful if she has something to clean as well as tending me while I'm sick. It's a mother thing.

I'm a sucker for darker shading even though I tend to go lighter when I'm using pencil on paper because it's just the way I draw. But I really do love the middle one. I love the darker shading of the third as well but as you said the paper texture is more noticeable. Not that it's a bad thing, it just looks nice with the slightly softer shading in number two.

Hope you're on the mend really soon, it sucks so much being that ill. Make sure you see a doctor!

I think I get panicky when my breathing gets even a bit disrupted coz I'm asthmatic so colouring in keeps me focus on that and not listening to my wheezyness!
The doc said it's a virus so just got to wait it out. He prescribe a weekend convalescing and got very excited when I said my mom was here : )
