Spread Some Love

I have recently been reading on some friends pages about their feelings about Fandom and LJ in general. I feel the same way as them and this is why I want to have a challenge for the month of February of Spread Some Love.

I challenge everyone to make a comment or send a personal message to an author or an artist about their artwork or story they have written.
I challenge everyone to share a heartfelt comment on the piece of fanfiction and artwork being created in Fandom and on LJ.
There are so many writers and artists that are leaving and its very sad to see so many people leaving. Spread some love to those that you have taken the time to read, take a peek at artwork, and STOP to leave a warmth of love about the piece to read or looked at art. I have been on a writing journey myself and with everyone leaving it makes me wonder if I should continue on my journey. Well guess what? I AM STAYING!!! I read so many stories of ALL genres including pairings that are not my cup of tea. In order for people to keep in pushing through with stories they think should stop, I want to share with them not to stop but to keep going!!! Stay focused and share the story that you want to share with others. Your audience target is a small group of people that will follow your story compared to those who aren't part of the kink.
Please help me to Spread Some Love to those that are questioning their ability to write and support through this hard time in Fandom and LJ. We are all here for the love of the Show and I would hate to see others leave because they were treated unfairly.
I challenge all of you to Spread Some Love!!

Date: 2015-02-02 09:16 pm (UTC)But yeah, it only takes a second to leave a ♥ or a : ) on someones fic and some people do need that encouragement. I've decided to do much less fandom-wise because I can't do the fannish stuff and take the time to enjoy everyone elses stuff, and that just sucks. So yes. more love! MOAR! xx

Date: 2015-02-02 09:28 pm (UTC)Exactly this. It doesn't need to be an elaborate essay, just ONE word. If you read the story just leave the author ONE 'loved it'. It would be enough. I think you're right, you should write because you love it and because you want it. But this is some give and take. Comments BOOST this whole fandom and leave the authors feel loved and I'm rambling and I should be in bed...like NOW *runs off*
Btw...I love you, I really do ♥
And soon we need to talk about prizes for your art. I had three friends asking me what you take for your sketches after they saw the one of my nephew.

But the need to be reminded to comment is a given because sometimes we do just let stuff slip under the radar, so this is a great idea.
