Notes - Drawn for the super_disney 2015 challenge. I chose Alice In Wonderland as my prompt as a) I loooove that movie! and b) as soon as I saw it on the list I immediately thought of teen!Sam as Alice. I really wanted to try out some character design as I feel like it's something I hadn't tried before and I really liked the idea of a SPN/Alice mash-up : ) Ultimately, Alice!Sam I think it the least successful but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. I would have like to have done more but I kinda ran out of time : )

Alice as Sam

I downloaded some images of the characters and then used tracing paper to get the basic shapes and key elements for each character. I took my time doing the design in pencil and then drew in the linework.

I then scanned the images into Photoshop, and cleaned it up a bit.

I added the color using reference from both the Alice ref pics and SPN ref pics.


I then cleaned it up a bit and added the line work over the top. Et voila!

The Tweedles are my favorite : ) They turned out so well, I was really surprised! : )
And I wasn't sure YED would work but I was pretty happy with him.

Shucks...I'm not sure about that but these were rather fun to do : ) x
