When I first read the summary for this fic, I had a really strong idea about using animation to show the transistion from a one part of their lives to another. Initially, I thought to have the three figures holding hands with one fading out and another fading in...until I realised how profoundly morbid that was, so went with the flower instead.

Although I'd envisioned a full colour piece, I quite liked how the line drawings turned out, and the addition of a splash of colour on the animated portion seemed just right given the context of the story, so I continued that theme through the chapter headers.

I decided to use a hand drawn text...mostly actually because I wanted to draw some text by hand, but also as I thought a standard font would be too harsh with the drawings.

I love the transitions between the flowers - very symbolic! The single splash of color in each picture is gorgeous and was a fabulous idea wonderfully executed. I haven't read the fic (yet) as I'm at work but if it's as good as the art, then I'm in for a treat. Again, just lovely work.

I love the symbolism of the lily and the rose, it has me intrigued about the story. I'd never had known the lettering was hand-drawn if you hadn't mentioned it, it's beautifully done! I really love the calendar one for some reason.

It start as J3 with the death of Jeff and follows J2 through their grieving process and them being helped through that by Misha. It's a tricky subject but I think namichan handles it beautifully and really sensitively so I was so happy that she thought the art complimented it.

I tried to pick out things from each chapter that I thought was interesting. I'm so happy you like that one. It's amazing to me how many times you have to try to do something spontaneous, like a squiggle, to get it to look spontaneous! : ) xxx
