One door closes...
Nov. 5th, 2015 08:05 pmSo, the end-of-December deadline for Black Bird has been scrapped for reasons beyond my control, and I have to say that after the initial discomfort of having to change my plans, I'm glad the pressure is off and I can now spend some quality time with the boys instead of having to rush it.
It does also mean that I now have the opportunity to write other things, which is pretty damn exciting.
I have some wips that I should really pay some attention to.
The Dot The 'i' 'verse needs updating, although that's really a case of sitting down with a few hours in front of me and typing. The joy of freeform.
Not Looking 'verse, on the other hand, is stumping me a little. The next chapter has to bridge between two plot points, and right now I have no idea how to do that. I need to figure out what's going on with those guys before I should even contemplate writing anything...but before the subscribers eat me alive : /
In addition to those puppies, I saw this thing on Facebook, and though I don't have an idea right now, the plot bunnies are restless, so we know how that goes.
And, I really enjoyed writing the little short for Halloween, so was hoping to get some time to write something for the Festive Season...which I will now have time to do! Too!
So, that's the state I'm in.
If you have any thoughts or prompts of what I should be doing with my writing time, do let me know.
Also, let me know if you have any tips about choosing what to write next. Do you flip a coin? Interpret the viscera of sacrificial plot bunnies? Or line ideas up, spin three times with your eyes closed, and write which ever one you stick a pin in?
Actually, I like the idea of that last one...hmmmm

Date: 2015-11-05 10:23 pm (UTC)THIS! OMG! SO MUCH THIS!
It's like running the distance between lamp posts, LOL! I thought it only happened when writing a series, as it happens to me alllll the time! O.O
I can't think of any prompts right at the minute hun, but I do like the idea of spinning round and throwing a pin. It seems a lot less stressful than the other options.
*hugs*

Oooh, that does sound like fun to write as well as read. But unfortunately I have a full plate and muse that's solely focused on my book for the foreseeable future. Thanks for thinking of me though :D

Date: 2015-11-15 09:34 am (UTC)Rabid Plot Bunny Alert...
Date: 2015-11-06 03:52 am (UTC)We all know that Jensen and Christian Kane are loooooong time friends. Jensen and Jared would slip down to Portland, OR once in awhile, when Christian was filming Leverage there. Partying and singing and friendship ect ect went on.
Christian now has a new show in its 2nd season called The Libirarians. It is a series made from the Bob Newhart and Noah Wylie Librarian movies.
What about a crossover with Sam and Dean Hunting down one of "Heavens Loose Nukes" or what they think is a MOW. This being or item, just happens to be something that Christian Kane and the librarians, (can't remember Christians' character name right now) are also looking for to put it in "The Library" so it does not get out in or miss used by the public??
Eh.. now that I have that all written out maybe not such a great idea after all. But go with it or trash it as you see fit.
Happy writing! Cindy

Date: 2015-11-07 01:03 am (UTC)scheduling just never allowed it to work out. Christian himself has said he would like to be able to do this. You probably know all of this already! This plot bunny makes me extra talkitive for soe reason. Sorry about that.
But oh yeah, I don't think even Kripke, could have come up with a better crossover situation. But I only think so, since Christian is now in a series that really would dovetail so Organically (as Jared is fond of saying) with Supernatural.
I have not gotten to see the first 2 episodes of the new season yet but I have seen the extended trailer. I can't wait to find out more about Jacob Stone and his back story. Yes, I love The Librarians!!
Thanks for thinking about this. I would do it, but I honestly really can't write for sh*t
Hope you are having a great day. Cindy
