Work Schmirk! My productivity has plummeted since joining this fandom. Plummeted!
Oooo, feed me back some concrit, Hun! I think it's mostly okay but they're were a couple of bits that made me cringe so bad. Trying to get the proper Nu ORlins pronunciation without changing my accent was so hard, I hope it sounds okay.

I thought it sounded great, you just have perfect pacing and intonation and such an easy to listen to voice. I am afraid to tell you that I heard no New Orleans pronunciations at all. I suppose that just means it was seamless. Which is much better than WTF was that?*G* Do you do your editing with Audacity? I don't know why I think that I read that you do. I'm still pretty new at it and figuring it out myself. The editing and cleaning, it's tricky to find that perfect place. Getting rid of breath sounds is always my nemesis.

Yay! I'm glad that agonising over pronouncing Chartres as CHAR-ters or SHAR-tray for about an hour paid off : )

No, I do it all on Garageband. I made a pop-filter that sits over the inbuilt mic in my Mac and I just sit with my mouth practically on it to record and then I've just about figured out how to basically edit clips to get rid of the odd noise and change the volume to make it a bit smoother. My main problem is my voice gives out so quick, it's hard to go back and fill any mistakes without it sounding totally different.
I might try Audacity but I figure trying to talk without mumbling or trailing off might be a good plan first! And reading dialogue without feeling like an idiot too. Need to practice that.
I use the female narrator noisy setting which seems to help cut out a lot of stuff though I think mouth sounds is a killer for everyone judging by the podfic help posts x

I completely meant to tell you I thought your dialogue was spot on. I remember you saying something about it being so much dialogue and you do dialogue GREAT. Especially with multiple characters. No idiot feeling, it was great dialogue, but I know what you mean, it is weird to do.

I just listened to Deaffeinated read by exmanhater and she is so fab but her dialogue is great as she uses a slightly different tone for each...I'm gonna try that I think next time. I'm glad you though it was okay though. Thank you so much Hunny : ) x

Seriously though, I read this fic when it was posted and caught so much more this time around, like Jensen's out-of-date grunge flannel, and how he told Jared his place was little more than an old wooden box... what a lovely-dark story

I actually only caught that wooden box thing when I was recording and had to do it again as I was blown away by it. She is damn clever at weaving that stuff in so seamlessly. It's the main reason I like doing the podfics, I get to really explore the text and really get to know it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it...although razors doesn't sound too good come to think of it : )
