I've rec this before but it does make me smile "You're on the canon ground, I'm up in crack ship space." Yes. Yes, I am : )
My fluffy nephew came to stay and he and my dog were unbelievably adorable, even more so than usual. He is a cockapoo and she is a recsue and yes, does require a security blanket at all times. He doesn't mind it when she uses him as a pillow and actually snuggles into her which is so cute it just kills me! ♥

That really resonated to me, that, really that's what we all want--from our families, friends, colleagues, patients. SO thank you for taking the time to like me. It goes farther than you think :)
I'd never seen the video before, but OMG, I burst out laughing. I'm totally up in crack-ship space lol. Which is now making me want to write crack!fic. Which is infinitely better than wanting to write Jared and Jensen deal with their dying baby fic. SO YAY, IMPROVEMENT.

I sit around painting stuff and hugging my dog all day so whatever I can do to help you do what you need to do, I can and will. There aren't many people who can say their job means life and death to someone and yours is the long slow haul of care that sometimes gets forgotten. Any idiot can run into a burning building but doing what you do takes real courage and bravery. I admire you all so much. You at least deserve pictures of puppies!

Lily is so amazing but does have some distinctly non-dog behaviours, the blankie being one. She was so horribly treated before she came to me though, I can't help but indulge some of them, even if she does wake me up at least twice a night to tuck her back in : /

Date: 2014-02-24 07:07 am (UTC)Scratching the itch behind is ear is something that Jensen can’t accomplish by himself. Luckily for him, the ground underneath him does an excellent job, if he rubs back and forth in just the right way. He grunts in pleasure, finally relieving the nagging sensation. Despite what his momma had told him, there were disadvantages to being an ungulate, after all.
Jensen’s back has started to itch as well, and he jumps a few times into the air, kicking his back legs out in an attempt to stretch his spine. It does nothing, besides make his front legs ache with the pressure of taking almost a thousand pounds on his relatively spindly legs. Jensen sighs through his nose. He’s going to have to get down on the ground in order to relieve the tingling in his back. And for a full grown bull, it’s a long ways to go.
After successfully collapsing his legs from underneath him, Jensen take a moment to relax against the cool ground underneath him. He stretches out on his side, back itch almost forgotten as his soft nose nuzzles the dirt. He inhales the scent of the morning dew still present on the green grass before taking a bite and chewing it into cud before it goes into his stomach. Yes, that’s right. one stomach. Cattle don’t have four stomachs like he’s heard numerous parents explaining to their children while vacationing on the Isle of Skye. One stomach, four compartments. Stupid, think-they-know-it-all apes.
Still, Jensen likes it when the sort-of-monkeys reach their oddly shaped appendages through the gates and rub their skin against his own. He can never help but let out sounds of delight that always make the creatures laugh. They always complement his beautiful red spots, his decent sized horns, and his pretty green eyes. Apparently they’re an unusual color for cattle, but Jensen doesn’t mind. He likes being told that he’s special.
On that thought he starts to drift off, allowing the steady patter of raindrops against his hide to lull him to sleep, with the pleasant feeling of the ground underneath him.
“Oh hey, can you hear me?” a low voice asks.
Jensen sits up, looking around him. His family’s at least a quarter of a mile away. A circle of rocks surrounds him, but in Jensen’s experience, rocks don’t speak.
“Moo?” he says questioningly.
“Oh great, I’ve been so lonely,” the voice continues.
Jensen continues to look around, not finding anything other than earth and sky in the vicinity. If he had eyebrows, he’d definitely be raising them in confusion about now.
He nudges the ground. “Mooo?” he asks the dirt.
“Oh, I’ve forgotten my manners again. It’s been so long since someone’s been able to hear me, after all. Anyways, my name is Jared.”
Jensen presses his ear harder against the ground and huffs, indicating that he’s listening.
“Nice to meet you--uh--?"
Jensen moos.
"Jensen. Well isn't that just a lovely name for a cow?"
Jensen moos again, this time in annoyance.
"Bull. Sorry, dude."
"Moo?" Jensen asks in return.
What am I?” the voice—Jared asks. “Oh, I’m the Earth, of course.”
“Moooo.” Jensen says in disbelief.
“Alright, fine. I’m a fairy who happened to get stuck without a corporeal form, and I can only be heard when someone’s in this fine stone circle that you’re laying down in.”
That makes infinitely more sense. Jensen nods his understanding. He likes the fairies that hang out in the glens. They’re very pretty, and Jensen’s definitely a fan of aesthetics. At least as far as his family’s concerned.
“Will you stay here with me awhile, Jensen?” Jared asks. “It’s nice to have an intelligent conversation for once. You should try talking to the rocks. They’re literally as dumb as people think.”
Jensen nuzzles the ground in reassurance before saying “Moo.”
Then he lays down his head on the soft grass, and the constant sound of Jared talking lulls him to sleep.

I haven't had time to do too much writing this week, and I kind of want to finish my cinema story first, which is honestly what I'm super psyched about--because I have 8k and I love it. But of course, that makes me nervous, because since I love it, it makes me super worried about posting it (although that won't be until sometime in May). Usually I'm not as attached to my writing and I'm like "whatever bitches, like it or don't who cares." But, I'm super attached to this particular piece which makes me jittery =/

“Don’t look at me like that, Jared. I’m on a forced vacation in fucking zombieland. I’ll drink all the Johnny Walker I want. And you can go play outside with your zombie friends if you don’t like it.”
Jared shakes his head. “I’ll stay.”
Jensen laughs again. “Of course you will.” He pours himself another drink, and then goes into the bathroom to rummage around. More unexplored horizons. When he comes back, he’s holding a pair of clippers in his right hand.
“Can I?”
“Me…?” Jared asks, a little bit unsure of what Jensen’s really asking.
“Well, between you and me, you’re the only one with long hair,” Jensen responds. “And I’m not sure I’m quite ready to provide barber services to the rest of your zombie pals yet.”
Jared runs a hand through his hair. He has the faint feeling of attachment to the brown strands, as if they might have been a point of pride, back when he was alive.
“It’d look great, Jared. Much less upkeep. More time for fun zombie things.” Jensen giggles. He’s plastered, and it seems like letting Jensen near his hair in Jensen’s current state might be a bad idea.
“Please?” Jensen asks softly.
Jared makes up his mind then. It doesn’t matter that he likes his hair long, or that he literally has no idea if his hair will even grow back--being dead and all. What matters is that Jensen wants Jared to let him cut it, that Jensen needs him. He has a purpose.
“Awesome! You’re the best zombie ever, Jared,” Jensen exclaims before reaching his arms around Jared.
If Jared had a beating heart, he’s sure it would have exploded by now, because Jensen’s hugging him. Jensen’s hugging him. Instead, he feels Jensen’s fast heartbeat, pounding its way through his body. It’s enough for him.

OMG this is just so lovely!
I think that Jared's hair has become such a 'thing' that the cutting of it just gives extra significance that might not be felt by it happening to another character. I fully expect you to get quite a few "NOOOO!!"s but if Jared does it for Jensen, it's happening for a good reason and not in a 'I hate Jared so I'm gonna chop his hair off' way, then it'll be fine!
You must not second guess the reader, that way madness lies! Just write what you feel you want to write, it's the only way. If you start censoring yourself, what you write just won't be as good.
I'm even more excited now! Eep!
I love the baby moose! He's so cute and getting a big sloppy Mommy Moose kiss! They are so sweet. I do imagine they are stinky though x

I'd let you beta it, but unfortunately I already have two people who've asked me if they can do it already. I don't know if getting offers from people just means that I should use a beta reader more often, because of things like mistakes... I'm just going to go with the nice thought that they'd all like to read it before everyone else though.
Denial is my happy place :D
I will ignore from now-on what I'm worried about people not liking in this story. Ahhhh. Now I need like more than one of my five minute breaks to write the rest of it! Arg.
Well, back to work for me!
