I really like the idea of doing something short after the long slog and trying to snatch a plot bunny out of thin air too...although I just horribly mixed those metaphors so I wouldn't hold out much hope : / x

LOL, well, okay.... :) I still think you should at least look at it. It really is one of my most favoritest things so I naturally think it should be one of EVERYONE'S most favoritest things. :D
and on the subject of podficcing, I may pick your brain about that. I really would like to do one and actually got as far as recording a story onto my phone. It needs to be done again of course, the spacing between sections is off and there are a few bobbles, not to mention my cat meowing halfway through and jumping on top of my monitor a few minutes later. :) But I like the way it read and though I've discovered some things about my voice I never knew were there it came out rather well. But I've got no idea how to actually podfic it. I read the tutorial at the cakehole club but I'm so technologically backwards that I think I'll need a lot of hand holding and repeatedly being told "do this, God why can't you understand!!!!!" before anything ever gets posted. :)
You can indeed pick at it but I fear there's not much knowledge in there. I've only just started doing it and doing very basic stuff too. If you wanna pm me some queries, I will help if I can. I use Garageband and there are some useful youtube tutorials about that to be going on with. I'm the same so don't worry, I can appreciate the wtfness of all the buttons that make no sense! : ) x
