My fave are the leaf cutter ants that have a special chamber that they fill with leaves to farm the mold that grows on them which is their food source! It's unbelievable! So so cool : ) x

Date: 2014-06-24 06:39 am (UTC)I think that's a big difference historically in wildlife programming between the UK and the US. All our stuff is about the beauty of lifecycles and ecology whereas I think you guys get a lot more 'oh god look at this thing eat that thing' and about how nature will fuck you up. It's weird how that happened x
