Things I have learnt whilst not having the internets

I cannot look up the number of the service that can come fix my router...because my router is broken.
I don't know what circle of hell that is but oh my god, my brain nearly shortcircuited.

My 3G phone does not get 3G in the house...

I cannot watch TV...
or listen to music...
or use my printer (fuck knows where that cable is)...

I cannot check the weather to see if it's safe to walk the dog without getting drenched...
I cannot fact check anything if I want to write some fic...
I cannot source photos to do artwork...
My DVD collection seems to consisted almost entirely of Japanese horror, Gerald Bulter and RDJ...

It was basically me and the (wet) dog sitting in a room for 3 days, feeling like the rest of the universe had evaporated.

I didn't like it.

I also learnt that when the new router arrives, the sticker that says "Takes 20 minutes to set up the best communication" really doesn't take into account how motivated a fangirl can be if she knows there's a season opener waiting out there in the ether : )

I watched the ep in a rush coz OMG I needed it but....

HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS GAS STATION GUY!! I want him to be in every episode! Jared really looked like he was gonna laugh. I liked that.

Oooo, the guy with the stuff and the things! I'm DYING to know what Dean did to piss him off.

I thought the bitch/jerk would hurt but actually it really was empty, along with everything else that Demon/Dean did...Dean-like but sooo not him...I like : )

I am normally, if not pro-angel, then quite happy for them to do their thing...but what the fuck was that? If we're gonna have angels, please give them something interesting to do. That was a waste of airtime. I miss BAMF!Cas. I feel like they're trying to humanise him but they're doing it by making him weak and all...floppy and shit. Don't do that.  

Crowley's line about how they thought Sam had hit another dog...  O_o ...he just has the best dialogue!! Dammit, I wish I written that! Just perfection!

I'm gonna watch it again later when there's no screenglare and my brain is actually working, I'm sure there's more intelligent stuff to be said. I'm also sticking to the rule from last season and not reading any reaction posts. It only takes one comment for me to lose my mind so in the spirit of happiness, best not : )

And you did it in time, yaay! I loved Crowley's 'hit a dog' line too and the gas station guy was brilliant!

Yes, Dean does seem 'empty' and Jensen does that look so well, also Dean's drunken singing was fabulous!

There are too many frigging angels, the only angel I care about is Cas (and the lovely Gabriel) and the only thing I want to hear about Smugatron is that he died horribly, painfully and slowly!

I'm avoiding reaction posts too, some people take it all far too seriously!

*squishes you* I had visions of languishing til the weekend but the new thingy arrived just after midday so it wasn't too bad. Miss out on all the pre ep squee but it could have been worse. Slightly scared how reliant I am on technology! Esp, being that I remember when VCR's came out and they seemed like something off of Star Trek : )

Gas station guy is my fave!!! He was epically good. Definitely need more of him. His dialogue was excellent and I really thought he held his own against Jared, coz a lot of supporting characters don't. (I just realised where your mind probably went then...stop that! : )

I'm kinda hoping we get more of Metatron...I hate him so much but he's definitely the best baddie since Alistair....and I kinda want Cas to be the one that breaks him into tiny pieces, too : )

Last year I started dreading Wednesdays as I'd really enjoy the ep and then some people would be so down on it, it just sucked all the joy out of it, so I just stick my fingers in my ears and la-la-la my way to Thursday now : )

Sometimes the supporting characters are really memorable and gas station guy will be one of those! I loved the lady cop with the donuts (and Dean with sugar lips!!) and I still remember the twitchty guy they interviewed in 'Monster Movie' who had the huge tankard and really weird hands!

I made that mistake last year too and it seems some 'fans' just like to find things to criticize. But I always love gaelicspirit's ramblings!

You always manage to make me laugh out loud. I feel your pain, losing internet access is like having a limb cut off.

Didn't you see the spoilers about Cole back in August? I know why he's pissed off but not the exact details of how Dean was actually involved. I'll tell you what I know if you want the down-low. Both Jared and Carver gave some info about him but I won't say anything if you want to be surprised.

I enjoyed the ep but was a little underwhelmed. It felt more like a mid-season episode to me and didn't have the oomph of a season opener. Demon!Dean wasn't really what I expected, I guess I wanted to see him more evil. He just seemed like Dean only a little moreso, however, the teaser for next week looks more like what I was hoping for.

The convo between Sam and Crowley was definitely the highlight for me. The king of Hell has the best lines and Mark always nails them. The entire angel story had me so bored I almost slipped into catatonia, what a waste of air time, it was as dull as dishwater, and we have Metatron to look forward to again this season...yawn!

I'm looking forward to seeing the battle between Sam and Dean over the next couple of weeks, that's gonna be awesome!

Nope. I don't do ANY spoilers. No trailers, sneak peeks and whatnot. Like now, I won't be able to look at Tumblr til after the finale...there's so much on there I end up feeling like I've seen the ep in gif form before it's even aired. I might watch the retrospective thing now but, yeah...don't spoil me : )

Crowley is fucking awesome! I really feels like the difference between him and Cas right now is that the writers are having fun writing Crowley. That angel bit didn't really make sense to me.

I agree with you about the episode. (Wait...do you not like reactions in your comments...if you don't just skip this part) I could not love Crowley and his dialogue more. Demon Dean is fucking hot, I can't enough of Jensen playing a darker character (and our boy was just fucking amazing last night! Can't wait for more.) Sam during the phone call with Crowley looking so jealous and angry he could spit was all kinds of awesome. The angels, I agree, total yawn. But, overall I am left with all kinds of hope and excitement for this season. Bring on the boys!

bleh. I have managed to get a spider bite from hell, which is like, over 3inches, and itchy and hurt-y, and swollen, and the Benadryl I'm taking makes me crazy nauseous, and I haven't manged to keep down anything that's not ginger ale or apple pie in 24 hrs, and I'm SO ready for this to be over though.

I enjoyed the episode though. Not earth shattering, but a solid performance, I felt. :D

Lots of beer and good food, and some of the most fertile soil in the USA though :D

Eh. Diphenhydramine is really the best for swelling/itch reduction. I had put hydrocortisone and benzocaine on it, but it wasn't really working. Kept pasta down a little while ago-yaaayyy. I was so fucking hungry.
