How many OTP's am I allowed?

Having a very slight OTP crisis.

Long story short...I'm reading two WIPs right now, the wonderful Wrapped in Honey by lady_emebalia which is like crack! About the only diligent thing I'm doing right now is checking my timeline for the next instalment! Incubus!Sam and captive!Dean...it's just lovely.

But then I'm also reading Occam's Razor by miss_annthropic. It's...well, it's not spn : /


I started watching Teen Wolf a while ago and then stopped quite abruptly when I realised that I actually hate most TV shows because of this whole on again/off again, relationship issues driven drama. But even after a one episode I was shipping Sterek so hard I thought I might actually pull something. Derek is hot like JESUSFUCKINGCHRIST! and Stiles is beyond adorable...I couldn't help myself.

Anyway (this is turning into the long version, isn't it?) Aaaaanyway, I abandoned it and satisfied myself (no, not like that) with tumblr gifs of their cute faces. But then I started reading Occam's Razor and it's so bloody brilliant, and the characterisations are so spot on...well, I started watching it again. Admittedly, I'm doing other stuff if it's not my two favourite boys on the screen but I'm watching.

But now I'm thinking of leaving the safety of the fandom to go seek out some other Sterek fic...or maybe some podfic...and then I suddenly got this horrible feeling...

It's okay to see other people, right? : /

I love Teen Wolf - its not SPN, but I love it, and I think Sterek is really fucking hot. I love Stiles so freaking much. I don't read any fic, but it's got a HUGE fan base so I'm sure the fics are awesome. Give it a go...I'm sure you'll love it. :-(

As many as you can handle? OTP to me is 'per fandom', not just one total....although the latter would be some hella admirable dedication :) Since rejoining fandom though about two years ago (ish), I've read and wandered about into four other different fandoms? Most are small not-so-active fandoms though, so I haven't actually been participating or making new friends. Teen Wolf, on the other hand, is huge and could seriously suck time and energy! But hooray for more pretty boys that make you happy :)

YAAAAAAAS come to the dark sideeeee! Also, I have so many many many many many many many many OTPs, and I don't really know how to just have one, because I get bored easily.

Sterek is lovely and wonderful and I think I have read Occam's Razor and totes think you should explore Sterek because its full of lovely, fluffy, angsty, brilliant, amazing fic. You will like it here. ;D

Admittedly I'm doing a fair bit of skimming now - yes, looking for the sex ;P - but I'm following along too. I'm not generally into WiPs but hers are addictive. Have you read the Dean/Nick/Sam series? I enjoyed that more than WIH.

As for the liking several OTPs, look at me, I have three definite faithful pairings that I love with all my heart and soul and...
I never feel disloyal or unfaithful to any of them simply because when I'm with them, no one else enters my mind. The only tricky moment was when I wrote "Reunion" with John/Ronon/Cam in a threesome and I kept worrying that I was giving one twosome too much time together and the other was being left out. I think that's because my OTPs are John/Ronon and John/Cam, lol.

What is it with TW? Seriously, I like my men to be, well, men, with muscles and sometimes some chest hair (and strong enough to overpower me, it could happen, shhh, lol) and of a military persuasion or at least with those kinds of skills. Yes, I know I'm contradicting myself here, because I read and enjoy J2 collegeAU fic, but nothing's ever simple with me :D

Basically it comes down to this, hun, if you like them, enjoy them, that's what they're there for.

I like Stiles and Sterek, and I watched Teen Wolf for a little while, but it's not something that I feel really drawn to. I've heard that the show gets really confusing and doesn't always make sense in the later seasons, so I decided not to keep watching it.

Enjoy reading the Sterek fics! No worries, you can always love as many pairings as you like. :)

I have a few OTPs ... McShep for Stargate Atlantis, and Merthur for Merlin. It doesn't effect how I feel about Sam/Dean... they are my OTP of OTPs. ♥

AWWWWWWWWWWww, of course it's ok to see other people... I don't see an OTP crisis here at all, because my take on the issue is you get one OTP... per fandom. Never been any other way for me.

OMG! I discovered Teen Wolf recently and LOVE IT, (well... I just started season 3.5 and I think I might not love it anymore... but up until then it was awesome). And I would TOTALLY ship Sterek! I ADORE sweet little Stiles, (he makes the show for me) and Derek, I must agree, is smokin', and your gif is killing me! I haven't delved into TW fic because... welllll... I could be wrong, but I got the impression its fanbase was quite young and maybe a bit silly, just cuz... MTV. So I thought the fic might not be good, because whenever I've looked at fic in other fandoms, I've found that it's vastly inferior in quality to SPN fic, maybe only because I don't know where to look in other fandoms. So if you like this Sterek fic, I might have to check it out!

And I agree with the others-- you can have as many OTPs as you want. ALL THE PAIRINGS ALL THE TIME NO ONE CAN SINK OUR SHIPS. ;-)

I actually read teenwolf before I got into Supernatural. I still read a little johnlock too... sometimes some fruits basket (although no one writes it these days), and yeah. A bit of avengers, and all around.

I think if it makes you happy to read, read away! one can never have too many otps :-D

chemm80 has podficced a bunch of *sterek* fics. I read Teen Wolf and totally don't feel like I'm cheating on Sam and Dean. Go for it because Derek is smokin' and Stiles is adorable!

I started watching TW as a light-hearted counterpart to SPN but now both shows wreck me emotionally.
I haven't read many TW fics but I love Sterek, both characters are just adorable. And no, it's not cheating, it's adding new family members.
