I take back everything I said about my dog yesterday.

The muthafucker ate chocolate AGAIN!!!

Thankfully not as much or anything like as strong as last time but she definitely has a tummy ache. Or is drunk. I think there was booze in them.

Looking forward to a long night of toilet emergencies and vomiting.

ETA; I fed her a huge amount of biscuits, she drank loads of water, spent the evening making "I'm so sick, mama, do something" faces but seems fine this morning. She got up to drink a lot of water in the night so I think that probably did the trick. Stupid dog x

awwww poor baby, mine did that on Friday...2oz of dark chocolate WITH expresso beans. Overkill much. Thankfully it barely touched his 85lb self. I even had a moment when I put it down that I thought"nah, it's unlikely he'll get it" ...yeah right.

Last Xmas eve she ate a pack of dark chocolate brownies, ended up staying overnight at the hospital...courtesy of my January rent money. They were worried about her heart. Scared the shit out of me! I totally forgot the box was in my bag and left it on the floor when I went to get some milk...she's a menace! Glad your boy was okay xx

You know, I always think that chocolate isn't naturally appealing to dogs, like why would they sniff that out. If we had bacon laying about, or peanut butter cookies maybe. I guess it's just not a disaster of opportunity, they are proving it. Weird. Super sniffers at work, mine's a basset hound so sniffing is his deal, and Lily probably has extrasensory sniffing as well to make up for eye, that's it.

Oh dogs. I'm glad she was ok, merry christmas to you.

Chocolate and chips are like crack to her! I can leave all kinds of other food lying around and she won't touch it but those...nope.

The bummer about this is that they were in a box in a bag, so she had to get into my bag and then open the box...which unfortunately is a game we play. She gets bored so I set her challenges and give her puzzles...might stop doing that now though : / x
