So...tomorrow is Monday which means I really have to start getting my shit together.

Like really...I have my MH assessment at 9.15am so I have to be up and as compos mentis as I can manage at that hour. Really, really not looking forward to it and my assessor is a guy which, I know shouldn't make a difference but I feel like it will.

Anyway, I'm going to really try to get up at ass o'clock in the am to walk the hound, exercise (coz that has to start happening...I ache all over), breakfast (on something that doesn't have brandy butter on it) and dress in something that doesn't have an elasticated waist.

Then once that's done, I have to get back into some kind of work routine. There are a bunch of open exhibitions coming up and I have nothing to submit. Also, I should really attempt to make a living and stuff.

I have lost my hosting and therefore all my podfic links...which sucks. I have a paraka-thingy but it's won't supply me with a URL to my recordings so I need to sort that out before anything else happens.

I think I've decided that apart from RBB and SMPC I'm not going to be doing any other art challenges next year. It's too easy for me to get excited about doing that stuff but actually I think I'd rather be drawing stuff for you guys.

So if you want art for a fic or for your birthday, just ask. Really. It would make me happy.

It can be anything, any fandom or something personal.

Give me as much notice as possible so I can get it done (and posted if it's shippable...heehee) and I will do my best.
Do not be shy about this.
PM me and we can talk over what you'd like or just email me (contact[at]alexjane[dot]info) with a pic and I'll let you know if its too difficult or whatnot. I'm so sad that I missed a bunch of birthdays this year coz I have the attention span of broccolli and I want to try to make sure that you all get the goodies you deserve next year : ) If you can't decide what you want, you can still get a voucher for something when inspiration hits.


I'm also going to try to better at posting at spn_hallelujah (every week I say I'm going to do it then don't!) and at rlbivob too as I've been so all over the place, I haven't got it together to source any images or anything...

Also...the inbox...700...and I know I have about 10 emails I haven't answered yet. Yup. I officially suck....until tomorrow anyway, when I shall emerge all kinds of organised and together and stuff : )

Oh honey that's a hell of a list! I mean O_O...Well from my point of view, don't knock yourself out for my podfic, whenever it's on the plate and manageable okay? and if there's anything I can do to help with the rest, anything, please let me know *hugs* I know it seems like huge insurmountable odds but baby steps and you'll be half way through the to-dos before you know it! ♥

Wow, you are one busy (very talented) bee, lol. Is that me up there? ^^^. If it is, you don't owe me any art AT ALL - I haven't done anything for you to earn that, lol. Plus, I just got a MERLYN DRAWING - THE BEST KITTY DRAWING TO EVER EXIST IN THE HISTORY OF EVER - and my gorgeous (and romantic, goes I'm a total sap at heart, lol) J2 pic from my b'day. So no, hon, you don't owe me anything...and you're so, so busy...

That paragraph in red - my gosh, you're such a sweetheart. *hugs you till the end of time*. And no you couldn't ever suck...not even if you tried.

The assessment was meh. The guy has a big owl face and doesn't blink and I have to have three more sessions with him before they even decide what they want to do with me. Ugh.

You deserve all the nice things my Darling! Always! Might just have to save it for your birthday then : )

I'm happy to help you with any of the podfic questions. I don't know if I've been helpful in the past, but I also use paraka for my files, so I can give you an assist. Or help you with dropbox or box.com if you'd rather go a whole other way.

I do think the issue is at Lindsay's end and I really don't want to hassle her too much.
Maybe I should use something else, although I'm nervous as I had my hosting elsewhere and they just deleted the account which is how I lost all my links, so yeah, any recommendation would be cool : ) xx

Not to worry. If you give me the exact file names of a couple of the mp3 files on Lindsay's site, I can double check that they're totally gone.

But dropbox is great. It's free for small amounts of data and you just need to sign up and upload the files there (I think you can even just drag from your desktop). Once you've uploaded, if you mouse over a file, it gives you a 'share' box. Click that and it gives you the url to link for the file.

Let me know how that goes. :D

I never even got as far as getting on the paraka site! I can upload stuff to the fttp thingy but then when I ask for a url it tells me that I have to input a web address. I've tried everything but nothing works. I'm usually pretty good with technology but this is just fucking with me. I emailed her but I havent heard back so I'm loathed to keep hassling her.

The other place I was using sounds like dropbox but they just decided they weren't going to do free hosting anymore so just deleted my account. Which is mean!

Maybe Dropbox is the way to go. They're pretty reliable right? x

Forward me the email lindsay sent you regarding the paraka site (with passwords etc. You can trust me *evil grin*). I've had trouble with ftp and the site, but I eventually figured it out. If I can figure it out for you, I can help you. Your basic thing is there at alexisjane.parakaproductions.com so I know you exist in their system. We just need to figure out how to get you to be able to upload.

Dropbox is simple and stable, though, if you'd rather go that route. :D
