You know you're definitely living in the wrong climate when the papers are saying there's a "killer heat wave" going on but yesterday you were wearing a jumper, coz your arms felt a bit chill.

Admittedly, it was a bit disconcerting going out at 5.30am this morning and it being 19*C...but also Fucking Lovely. I did jogging and everything.

I think things would be different if I had to work outside in the sun or needed to rush around and I am prone to sunstroke...but also I can actually breath through my nose for once so meh.

I need to move some where it like this for more than four days a year.

Seriously.

I'm personally looking forward to the possibility of me actually getting more than a passing dusting of lobster like colour before it goes back to bright white again ;) but yes, more than four days a year would be nice! And if I were at work today I'd be DYING! xx

I dropped yoghurt in my hair : ( I just washed it too.

Yeah, I don't do brown. At best I go a slightly pinkish yellow. Mostly as I can't spend too long in the sun before I start hallucinating. I'm okay if I'm dog walking in the shade but the fat self has been mostly covered up so far this year. I did wear a strapless dress yesterday though : ) xx

I'm sorry, what? *grins* Honey...It goes in your mouth, not your hair! ;) *hugs*

Ohh, very nice! Bet you looked lovely! I braved a dress Saturday last at work cos DAMN that was warm! O.O

Hallucinating? Ouch! I get sunstroke really easily, but every year...You think I'd learn, right? xx

It just slopped off the spoon when I wasn't looking : ( I'm such a slob : )

Well, I looked more like a potato wearing a bin bag...so I just owned it and no fucks were given : )

Have to say nothing beats the Ashley Down Festival of '89. Sunburnt so bad I had blisters the size of 50ps all over my face and shoulders, and two days in bed. Sun+alcohol=not a very good idea at all : )

You be careful today, Missy! It's going to be toasty : ) xx

It could've been worse, it could've gone straight down your boobs! I've done that! ;)

I'm sure you looked like no such thing! *licks* ;)

Mine is slightly more self inflicted ;) Fell asleep on Southsea beach with my best friend, we were positively neon on our fronts, pale and pasty on our backs :D

I was fine, I mean I nearly melted, but no permanent damage ;) xx

Cleavage is not so bad as at least it's wipe-able, but hair...it's so hard to get out.

Oh, that sounds awesome! Summer in the front, winter in the back. God I bet that hurt. I have pics of my cousin on holiday with a lovely brown body and bright red ass cheeks when she decided to wear a g string one day with no sun cream : ) Utterly hilarious watching her trying to sit down to meals but not let on to our mums what she'd done! We laughed so much! : ) x

LOL! OUCH!

Okay well not sunburn but I once did something vaguely naughty (ha!) outside on a gravel floor, cut my shins and tops of my feet to ribbons, and then had to come up with an excuse as to HOW! for my mother...I said I'd spilled boiling water from the kettle on them, and bandaged them so no one could see ;)

Milly - Dirty little liar! ;)

Amen to that! I went outside without a cardi last night and everything. It was amazing.

Haha I think that's the standard isn't it, no cardi evenings : )

One day I keep promising myself I'll emigrate. One day : ) xx

We're having a heatwave over here in Spokane, Washington too. It's 7:24 AM and it's *quickly converts Fahrenheit to Celcius* 22 degrees outside, and it's supposed to get up to 37 today. It's supposed to be around 37/38 until mid-July and I'm just like, "Ugh, I left Texas because of heat like this!"

Glad you're enjoying your heat though! It is nice every once in a while, but I'll be over here melting lol.

38 is a lot. I'm not sure how I'd fair with that. That's kinda extreme for Washington, right? Weren't you guys buried under snow a couple of months ago? ; ) Weather is weird.

I think the main problem we have here with the heat is that we're not set up for it. No one has air con, and people just think they can carry on as normal. I'm really aware not to out at the hottest part of the day and stuff, and my job is the sitting around at home kind, so I can just wear a damp towel if it gets too much. Plus people aren't educated so they really don't know that they have to dramatically increase their water intake or keep babies out of the sun. It's crazy xx

Yeah, it's pretty extreme for Washington especially in June. We're setting records left and right here. I'm telling my friends down south to take their weather back! And it's super dry here because we didn't actually get much snow at all last winter, so now there's a bunch of fires out in the forests and homes are getting burned down because of it. It sucks. Might have to go outside and do a rain dance or something.

Oh man, no air conditioners? I have the small, wall-mounted kind and a bunch of fans. The damp towel is a good idea, I'll have to remember that. I hope you get back to normal weather soon!

Ah the wonderful British weather! I think 5.30 (5.30!!!) was probably the best time to venture outside today!
We never seem to get decent sunshine for more than a couple of days at a stretch, then it goes humid, cloudy and thunderstorms follow!

The early mornings are really great, esp. for me as no ones around : ) That's the worst bit about summer for me is its just so crowded! : )

I know right! It's raining here today but still warm so not so bad xx

I don't blame you for going out early before the hordes of holidaymakers and day trippers arrive! The rain is pretty refreshing after all that heat, but hopefully it won't hang around too long.

Come live in Stockholm! The summers here are usually 20-25 (centigrades, I don't do Fahrenheit...) and some wind, really lovely! And the winters aren't too bad either, definitely colder than at your place, but still. I do love the switching between the seasons here though! Except maybe this year's spring, too cold. :(

Today we had a top of 25! Very nice!

The weather is changing all over I think, it's hard to find somewhere warm all year. I think one of the southern islands of Japan came closest to my ideal...but then earthquakes *sighs*

Glad you're enjoying the summer! : ) xx

Noooooooo, go away with the heat. GO AWAY!!!! 40° tomorrow!! *stocks up on ice cubes* I should just stay in my still chilly apartment! Mmmmmmaybe I should start treating my patient around 5:30. YES, I SHOULD DO THAT!!

I hope Lily is doing okay with all the heat :)

That's hot. You guys must be melting! You should have a siesta! Work only in the mornings and late afternoon/evening. Much better in this weather : )

Lily is okay. I try to plan the day so she isn't outside at the hottest part of the day as the pavement gets so hot. We did have to go out that day though to take someone's else's dog out (they'd left him alone all day! I couldn't say no) and she was crying it was so hot. We came back and I put her straight her straight in the shower and cooled her off. But yeah, she likes the heat too. Such a good dog : ) xxx
