At Uni, we use to go to student nights, and I'd order 7 tequila shots (they were £1 each!), drink the lot, then drink free water the rest of the night. But then I gave up booze for 2 (3?) years, and now, one glass of wine and I'm reeling. We could still give it a go though : ) xxx

Date: 2015-11-26 09:50 pm (UTC)I'm at 35,371 words, with three days and three chapters to go. I'm really proud of myself. I had started this book before joining Nano, so even if the story reaches its conclusion before the 50K I know I've written a book in a month \o/
Then I'll need to edit and beta it while getting a cover done and kids home for summer hols, Christmas, New Years, my bro's birthday and my daughter's birthday. Nothing like staying busy, right? O.O

With this book I'm going it alone, not with the publisher for the previous two. So I can't really recommend from the point of view of pas experiences. However a author friend who's helping me through this minefield, recommended canva.com if you want to design your own cover. Which I have no doubt you'll managed with no effort at all. And fiverr.com for finding professionals to do it for you. So far I've done a mixture of the two. I've used rightclicksaved images from my hard drive to create the look I want and I'm going to send that to a professional on fiverr as a visual guide to what I want the final to look like. That way the burden of getting photographic permissions is on them. I've yet to contact them as I want to get the book written before shifting gears, but it sounds like it'll work, right?
