No it's NOT like this, we haven't lost this many in a LONG time!! I don't get it, what's going on?! All I can think is whoever's in charge is forming a band and acting troupe out of the world's finest, but did they have to recruit all at once?!? Really though, fuck it!! xx
I suspect it's a variety of factors. One is simply that random events cluster (they really do - things spreading out evenly is not random). The second is that there are more famous people now than there used to be, especially considering the surge in 'fame' in the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. Some of those are starting to reach a certain age, especially the baby boom generation (count that in as a factor, too). Some of them will have potentially restricted their prospective lifespan by ingesting certain substances. (Trying to be subtle there.)
There's an interesting article on BBC News this morning that was saying pretty much this. So, yeah I fear this is the way it's going to be for a while : ( Bummer xx
