An episode with a monster in it! Outrage!
Dramatic conflict between the two main characters! What are the writers thinking!
Using tropes and themes that have been in the show since day one! How very fucking dare they!

I liked it. Not the best ep ever but I liked it.
I'm not such a fan of this writing team's stuff. I find I can pretty much take or leave it, although I did like the manniquin ep a lot. I think their monsters are always pretty good but there's something...I don't know. It was fine. I won't be skipping on the rewatch.

I thought the monster was good (although my mind immediately went Adipose. I love those little dudes!)  and I'm intrigued by this thing of them finding the boundary between monster and Monster not so cut and dried quite intriguing. I don't know anything about the spinoff except the name so I'm wondering if it's going somewhere in that regard.
Sam's one layer was...one layer : ) but Dean in a hairnet! That's just the writers fucking with me. If we don't get that pantless episode now there will be all kinds of hellfire!

I liked the bookending of the ep with the kitchen scenes  although I did find myself saying "Show don't Tell, guys" as it did seem like they couldn't find an elegant way to play this stuff out so they just ended up having to explain it.
But that bit at the end OMG Dean's face! (Jesus, Jensen could act this whole fucking thing with just his face!)
I think he finally gets it now. I think Sam has been saying this stuff for years and he's just been dismissing it but now...now he actually gets it! And I can see it leading up to some mega misunderstanding at some point that will be resolved just at the last second...it made me happy : )

I was a little disappointed that there was no movement on the Mark of Cain front and also, where the hell was Cas? Dean is back in the Bunker and he doesn't even show up for a quicky? But then it's 40mins long and they can't pack everything in in one ep I guess. A mention would have been polite though I feel.

So...

Why is Dean not sleeping? The usual thing or Mark related?
Is Sam's new found hardline because of the Angel-smegma?
Will Sam's hardline be the cause of Dean going darkside?
Ha!
Will Sam, after all his stuff today, sacrifice everything to save save Dean in the finale? Oh god, let that be a thing!

I'd totally settle for a shirtless -completely, you stingy bastards - episode. ;-)

Repeated themes don't really bother me that much, because I like the theme in this show. And I quite like brotherly conflict...I just wish Sam would stop being an ass and ripping Dean's heart our t every couple of episodes. Sam's always been a little selfish, but he's never been cruel to Dean before the last couple of seasons...I don't like that much. :-/

But...it does make for good Dean angst and let's me be all righteous on his behalf so it's ain't all bad! :-D

Trouble is without the conflict there's no show! So it's all good in my book and it's not like the writers are just doing it for kick *coughs* like we would *coughs* It is going somewhere!

I was all ready to settle for shirtless Dean but now...hairnet! No it's got to be nekid from the waist down...nothing else will satisfy. Maybe I should message Ben Edlund again?

Poor Dean. That face! Jensen kills me with that stuff. I'm so glad I watch this alone as me yelling "Oh no! Oh no! Don't do it! Not the jaw! Oh god, he clenched his jaw!" freaks the dog out, I'm not sure how another human being would cope with that.
I do think Sam should sex Dean better. It's the polite thing to do. And if they're 'not brothers' any more it makes the whole incest thing a bit less...well, y'know : ) x

Am I the only one who still thought he looked hot in the hairnet? I mean his shirt was all tight and his arms looked awesome too...I'm clearly a freak, lol! But, I'm totally not gonna argue with naked Dean...who in their right mind would argue with that??!

God, I would because I'd be yelling with you!! I still yell at the screen whenever the boys do something I don't want when I'm re watching!!

OMG, yes. That is the only way I'll accept this 'we're not brothers' horseshit. That's definitely what needs to happen...and maybe...maybe Sam cock isn't the cock of death when he's with Dean because they're soulmates!! :-D

I thought that blue shirt looked soooo good on him but then they had him in two fucking layers still when he was in the hairnet!

I can't think of a single scene where he doesn't look good. Even the 'you smell like a toilet' one...I still do him x

My brain does the weirdest things sometimes, God knows where it got that from. I think it was thinking about Dean and the whole “You know how wrong that sounds, right?" thing. Icky.

Oh don't you get those guys? The ones that are so put out when we get a MotW ep, like that sorta isn't the point of the whole show? I know it's so much more than that now but I came to the show for the monster stuff and I like it. I am dying to get to the Mark of Cain stuff and the ripping Metatron into tiny pieces stuff but yes to monsters! Especially ones that have a one-layer uniform requirement.
Now if we can just get one that requires Dean to be pantless for an ep...: ) x

Frankly I tend to stay so far away from anyplace wanky that I really don't know that people get upset about monster of the week episodes. And I'm more than happy to keep it that way. I don't follow the actors in real life and that makes me happy too. Sam and Dean Winchester are all I'm interested in. :)

Okay, back from work, snuggled up on my couch in my pyjamas AND I FUCKING ENJOYED THE EPISODE!! So much Dean pain makes me happy, and his after hairnet hair looked fucking adorable.

I liked the monster. Dude, I sat here, had just eaten my dinner and my after dinner candy bar in my hand and just wanted to take a bite when the first guy got sucked dry and I was like ewwwww...and ate my candy bar anyway.

I liked Sam's hair this episode, it looked pretty fluffy. and single layer!

AND THE END! There were tears in my eyes, seriously, oh god oh god oh god!! So much pain, and Dean's face!!! It's all I'm saying. I think the crack between these two was never this deep. Can't see how it's going to play out. Can't wait for the next week. I definitely liked this episode!!

The good thing about Wednesdays is that I have the morning free, so I can sleep a little longer, I love to sleep. I can hit my snooze button ten times before I finally leave my bed. And only nice patients today :)

Roofied!Dean was fucking adorable (though the hit at him knowing how it feels gave me all the naughty thoughts).

And I just said it to another friend...all this Dean adorableness (hairnet, him eating that donut, getting roofied, auditioning for the fitness trainer) made the end so much more heartbreaking. It all stood in stark contrast to the beginning and the end. I think or at least I hope and dare to think that it was intentional. That they wanted it a major kick to our hearts...which it was!

And sleep deprivation, him looking a little haggard, the major stubble, the alcohol makes an appearance again.

I don't know, I definitely have to say I'm excited, too :)
