Day 12

In your own space, talk about what you think the future holds for fandom. What are your hopes and dreams for fandom? Do you have any predictions about what the next five years holds for fandom?

I have no clue what the future holds.

I'm hoping that Supernatural ends with S10 and that it's as epic an ending as S5.
I hope that the spin off will be supported enough by the fandom to find it's legs and run for at least a few seasons.

I can't imagine life without the show and the fandom but I could never imagine getting over Buffy either. I imagine something will come along that will attract enough of us that we can carry our support and shared background over into that and still keep Supernatural alive in some way.

Really I don't want to think about the future too much. The present is a gift and all that, so I'm just enjoying the here and now. And the Then and Now, of course x

Day 13

In your own space, talk about setting yourself a fannish goal. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Some great examples include: complete a bingo, sign-up for a Big Bang, write that fic you've been thinking about for years, podfic that story that you love, make a fanmix for your fandom, post that bit of meta or reclist you keep postponing. Maybe resolve to be better at leaving feedback, or answering comments.

All of the above. Well, maybe.

I tried a podfic and liked it so I'd like to do some more of those.
I was thinking about doing a Big Bang but actually I think I'd like to do some fan art so if I do one, it'll be from the other side.
I've got another installment of the Abandon All Hope series wafting around in my brain but I'd definitely like to do more of those, try and make it into a proper verse with a story arc. Suggestions welcome.
And, of course, there is the epic world building, co-operative, multi authored project, initiated and driven my the all powerful brightly_lit that I'm so so excited about, that's at the embryon stage right now but is set to be...awesome.

So not much really. Thank god I don't need to work...oh wait : ( x

I do tend to use them as emoticons depending on what my post/comment is about...unless its 2am and I getting picspammed (you know who you are : P ) and I can't be arsed to change it x


1. OPT - One of my favourite bits of the show! I'm so happy when we get one although I'm generally sobbing whenever we do. I know Jen said he dooesn't do it on purpose but watching some eps of Dark Angel, I wondered if he learnt it from Jessica Alba coz hers are amazing!

2. Ship all the ships - I thought there would be one of these out there somewhere for me to use but I ended up having to make this image on a meme generator.
I don't get shipping wars or ship hate or any mentality that thinks someone else having a different OTP somehow undermines your own (although Destiel shippers are clearly delusional!...I'm KIDDING!! Put the chair down!) so I wanted something to show how much I love the love that you guys generate. I love the fact that fiction is bottomless endless in terms of it's scope and I feel the more ships, the better. There's plenty of love to go around...and by love, I mean hardcore slash porn...just in case that wasn't clear : )

3. J3 - All the boys. What is there to say. This is a fab scene with the three of them (just look at the lovely stubble) and kind of sums up their relationship dynamics for me. It also feeds my dirtybadwrong brain. Also I like the colours...that's a thing.

4. LOL - Jensen laughing is a thing of absolute beauty. There's so much footage of him but I think when he laughs that out-of-the-blue, deep down, belly laugh, that's when we get to see the genuine Jensen.

5. Daddy - This is a great moment. I loooove YED!John. How unfair is that though! I mean, the guy is unbearably sexy as it is and then they stuff a demon in there! Kripke is trying to kill me, I swear.
Also, being that I appear to have inadvertently started a 'verse in which Dean and John's relationship is "unhealthy", nothing was going to sum it up quite like this.
