It feels utterly self indulgent as I really have no knowledge to back up my poems, which is usually kinda the point as without the technical background its just a lot of big words strung together. I have had some really super nice comments about my poetry though which I feel kinda guilty about. My prose isn't all that either but I feel at least like I can string a story together.
Also, I wrote a haiku about dog poop. Doesn't get more embarrassing than that (although I was chuffed to bits with it : ) x

The stories she tells, the way she tells them, the way she's able to craft squiggles in a screen so that they reach into my chest cavity and dismantle me from the inside...she's just wonderful. There are a ton of others that I feel really passionate about, riyku, ephermeralk, bleepobleep...oh too many to mention, but yeah, homo pink is my favorite (I have a tag and everything : )
I tend to do a lot in my head. I have key scenes that I can see really clearly, all the dialogue, environment etc, then I have bridging story that I just have a vague idea about. But when I sit down to write, it tends to end up being a real surprise to me what happens. I think it's why I like writing so much, I get to fill in the story and see how it pans out as I go. I rarely completely change the story arc but it's still really interesting to see how it pans out : ) So a bit of both I guess : ) xx

I'm always terrified about info dumping on people so I try to more eek out information gradually throughout the course of a fic. Plus I actually genuinely can't stand myself so I think it would be an exercise in self destruction.
Probably something along the lines of blonde, forgettable, never more than two feet away from a computer screen, constantly talking to herself or inanimate objects and rarely making eye contact with anyone other than the dog, which is the source of the constant sheen of hair over everything she touches.

Dunno. Most of the long fic I'm writing I'm going to try to get published - not coz it's good, just so I can justify the time I'm putting into it. I thought about maybe writing some articles for Cracked as they pay okay and I like their content, but it's finding something I really want to write about that I can be assed to do the research for as they're really strict about sources and stuff. Initially I wanted to write screenplays but I'm too much of a control freak to write that minimally. But who knows! I've learnt the hard way to never say never : ) xxx

Date: 2015-07-06 04:46 pm (UTC)Yesterday I had to really stop myself from doing it. I was in the shower and noticed a weird bruise on my arm that made no sense. From the placement I couldn't figure out how it had got there. So then I start thinking "What if a character woke up and found this bruise? What would they think? What if they woke up the next day and found another? Is it aliens? Do they sleepwalk? What if it's some weird medical thing? What if it's an omen, or like a Passover Mark, or..." I had to yell at myself as I'm writing too many things already but that's kinda how it goes.
So yeah. Everything : ) xx

I can't pick one but the closest I can get...Homo_Pink - Like a Detuned Radio, Stiffness in the Bones and Excitable Boy
I think my go-to comfort fic right now though is Kindred Spirits by stoney. Its a Sterek version of Anne of Green Gables. I can't remember why I first read it as I'm generally not into anything historical, crossovers, and I've never read that book...but it's just perfection. I can feel my heart swelling in happiness with every word : ) xx
