Um...I guess so. I sit in my writing chair, which quite often ends up as a battle of wills with the dog as its her chair when I'm not writing. I have a cup of tea ready, I play one game of 10/10 or 2048 (Benedict Cumberbatch vs Otters - still can't win it!) or Bejewelled Butterflies, then I can get started. If I'm really distracted I have a playlist for the piece I'm working on so I'll listen to that for a bit as I start, but normally I write in silence. I usually take the dog straight out when I'm done otherwise I'll just keep trying to go back and write more.


There are things other than fic? Now you're talking crazy ; )

Dunno. Most of the long fic I'm writing I'm going to try to get published - not coz it's good, just so I can justify the time I'm putting into it. I thought about maybe writing some articles for Cracked as they pay okay and I like their content, but it's finding something I really want to write about that I can be assed to do the research for as they're really strict about sources and stuff. Initially I wanted to write screenplays but I'm too much of a control freak to write that minimally. But who knows! I've learnt the hard way to never say never : ) xxx

Oh I know, it wasn't until Fandom that I discovered what scripts actually look like, and I know I couldn't write that minimally either - I mean, my love of description alone, lol!

Yes, indeed. Never say never, and besides, apparently we all have one (or twelve) books inside us. ♥
