Okay...I think I've sufficiently recovered enough from 9.23 that I can start thinking about looking at things SPN again without bursting into tears and I want to start my watch through (Hellatus I usually start from the beginning...I know, I know but it wasn't such an mission in the days waiting for S4...now *gulps* I can do it, I can) BUT as always my brain is making life way more complicated than it needs to be.

Because I need screencaps for art refs, and because I need research for my MiniBang, and because I need shots for a vid, and because I want to write a meta thing about John, I figure this time I need to make some notes and stuff as I watch...except I'm not quite sure how to organise that or how to even begin to start to organise that. So I'm just not doing it. And I need to. Time is short and stuff like I need to watch the whole of S1 before I can start on my MiniBang makes it kinda urgent.

So if you have any organizational tips or just wanna give me a good 'ole kick in ass, I know you love that kinda thing ; )

And how do you keep track of your images or vid clips? Or are there any cool online resources for this sort of stuff that you've come across that help? I'm always amazed how some of you can just pull an image out of the air when it would take me twenty minutes just to find the right folder on my desktop.

Anyway...that's it really. Imma go vacuum now : ) x

First off, with all the love and squishes in the world *Kicks you in the ass!* Come on hun, you know you can do the whole organised thing and you're just putting it off because a) you're afraid the feels may actually kill you, which to be fair, right there with you. I haven't watched an episode of SPN since Hellatus started and that for me is an all time RECORD! I haven't gone that long without a fix in about 9 years O_o and b) you're fretting about the minibang the same as you did the bigbang, and look how freaking genius that turned out! :)

So, lady, don;t make me come over there ;) hop to the watching :)

Trick for organising throughts, one watch through for plot points/character refs, another for moments between certain characters that you need from Canon :)

Yeah, I know. Part of me is thinking that I just need to start watching and then I'll just remember the stuff I need. Christ, I've seen all the eps enouugh times, they are in my brain somewhere : )

I could use tips too, because part of the reason I often draw without refs is because I'm too lazy to spend an hour trying to *find* refs! I thought I downloaded plenty, but they're never what I need when I'm browsing through them *throws hands in the air*

I tried picking at my epic fic for the minibang, but it's not moving anywhere. Stubborn little thing. I want to know what you're writing! But since I'm failing at writing, I might end up being an artist, so maybe I shouldn't know.

Typing 'sam winchester looking up and to the left season 2 hair' into google is the single most soul destroying thing to do! I need an intern to collect all that kind of stuff for me and organise it so I can find it! Although this - http://www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com/ - is excellent for general poses.

If you wanna brain storm just let me know Hun. Happy to have a read through of what you have and then poke it with a stick and see what happens : )
I'm going to try and do the next part of my headcanon 'verse so set in the shipping google version of S1 but that's as far as I've got. Until I start watching I won't have a clue what I'm going to write : / Got to do my summergen first though.
Ooo, also how do you feel about me doing Metamorphosis for the podficBigBang thing? It's got to be over 10k and I figure it might get me to actually get around to it. If not that's okay Hun. How do I feel? I'm still stunned that you, amazingly talented and crazy busy you, would read my story of all things! I can't SQUEE loud enough via text!!! :D *SMOOCHES YOU* I'm kinda nervous though that the story is gonna translate horribly to podfic *chews nails* If you find it isn't working for you, just let know. No hard feelings. But otherwise, yes, let's give it a go! I will happily create art for this unless you think it'd be fun to see if anyone else would take on the challenge :)

I just started a re-watch. Promised myself I'll take notes, it doesn't work so well to be honest, but I do occasionally take a quick note on a specific scene that I might want to use in a vid later.
For screencaps and vids maybe try an excel sheet, with episode numbers and specific scene description/timestamp to find later?
