This got me thinking about Xmassy fics and two of ash_carpenter's popped in my head.
Her Christmas Anti-Kink is just so funny. All season I've been having to bite my lip to stop guffawing everytime I see fairylights.
Also, Cinders. I know not technically Xmassy but it's like a 70k word Panto  ( explanation )   choc full of the mad, bad, twisted, funny stuff that Ash does so well. Made me feel festive. Gonna read it again with eggnog!

Finally...Tuesday! I thought you'd never get here.

It's been a long, slightly horrid week so very glad to make it to Tuesday.
Sooo looking forward to tonight's ep. Have managed to avoid any spoilers so have no clue what's going to happen but I'm assuming there may be some epic Ezekiel action, or at least that's what I'm hoping, cliff hanger and all.

Part of the reason this week has been icky has been my muse's steadfast refusal to put out. She has taken the plot bunnies and headed off to parts unknown, leaving a cryptic note that would take a prophet to decipher. I swear one of the words is 'falafel'.
Anyway, I expressed this state of affairs to a couple of folk and realised trying to come up with excuses for her being a lameass is actually kinda fun. Like the writer's block equivalent of 'Yo Mamma". I shall undoubtedly add more to this list until she gets her arse back in gear.

This is not SPN but it's beautiful. kalliel's 1327- Fast 6 Paul Walker's death, along with his friend's, broke a little piece of my brain at the weekend. Just when I stopped crying, she posted this and I started all over again. It's beautiful but agonising as you can feel her grief poured into it. Read it and then send her hugs.

Well, I know it isn't Tuesday...of any kind...but I'm a bit delayed in all things this week.
My fic is all sticky (not in a good way) and my muse has run off with my plot bunny, so I'm feeling a little...meh

So after next week there's way too many days til the following ep so I shall probably rewatch S8 and 9 so far and maybe S7 depending on how much Festive stuff I can get out of. I find it much easier to take in the story when I watch it in chunks and get to see all the lovely sub text too. Just warning you there may be eggnog fueled babbling...as opposed to the regular kind : )

Wanted to rec some stuff I've seen this week.

Don't you cry no more is a super fic by sixtysevenimpalaThe first time Sam gets hurt on a hunt. Really loved this take on Dean keeping Sam safe. The tone is great. I read it as gen though it says wincest in the warnings. Teen and up / 3000

When Memory Fades by ephermeralk is just fab. Really good story, brilliantly told. Made me all sad and happy and sad...really loved it. Wincest / NC-17 / 3800

Hard-Won Inches by bewaretheides15
This is the first of this author's I read and it's most definitely not for everyone. It's Weecest.
Which usually squicks the hell out of me but this is so well written, just so beautifully done...there is sex stuff but not in a creepy way...and gives a whole new dimension to the whole amulet story. I will never be able to look at it in the same way again! NC-17 / 3800
Anyway, I love her writing style, even when there's very little dialogue, she has the voice and tone down amazingly well, the stories are really well crafted. I'm working my way through them.
If you can find something she's written in your wheelhouse, read it.
Another great one is Nothing Like a Bad Idea (Sam is 16) which is fun but also really clever and well observed...and porn but hey... NC-17 / 3800

This is a great gif set of the faces of Dean, that I really liked. It's missing the lovely Brock and Dylan but it has some of his best facial expressions and moments.

These are pictures of Dean/Jensen's naked self...well, naked bits of him...well, his naked belly. Just sooo bite-able...grrr

And finally, I saw this on Pinterest and was surprised at just how many sounded like SPN episodes!
I'm sure there's a psychological lesson in there somewhere.
I think I might use them as story prompts in the future but I wanted to share them as they made me laugh so hard!

Strangely still feels like Monday, probably due to sleep deprivation or the stupid dark days. Already can't wait for summer!

She's no doubt sick of me) almost everything of hers I think, except a couple of things that I am genuinely too frightened to read. I'm waiting to be in a very dark place before I go there. No really, she's that fucked up. It's why I love her so.
Her Anti-Kink series is utterly hilarious and this one I think might have been the one when I actually peed myself a little.
