Warnings - Spoiler to S9, self indulgent poetic nonsense, not cheerful but hopeful.
A/N - This was written for the Bi-Bro Challenge over atspn_bunker, promoting harmony and understanding between SamGirls and DeanGirls during the difficult events of S9. This came out of a conversation that I had with someone (for the love of god, raise your hand, I couldn't have done this without you but I'm senile and can't remember anything) that basically went something like...
"...being buried inside the bunker isn't a good environment for our boys...maybe they'd sort out their differences better and quicker out on the open road without doors to shut each other out."
"Yes, I guess before it was all about them being shut in together, in the car, in motel rooms..but now they have the space to shut each other out, all those walls and doors. Not good."

Back in the Saddle
Jan. 6th, 2014 04:59 pmToday was supposed to be my first day back at work.
I had two family emergencies (that weren't all that emergency-like after all) before 2pm. So I didn't get much work done. But I did some, so that's a start!
Yesterday I started a thread over at thespn_bunker about first time posting a fic as the filthy lovely somersault_j did that very thing last night and I was thinking how hard it was.
I was going to add my own but then, as usual, being that I like the sound of my own voice way too much, it got a little out of hand and I went the tmi route...just for a change.
So this is it. How I ended up here...believe it or not the abridged version : ) x

So I'm hiding.

Rumpelstiltskin bybrightly_lit is just fab. I love her love of meta, intelligent writing and mad skills on the imagery front. This made me do all kinds of squee as fairytales are my thing (horror writing for kids?...What did they think was going to happen!) and one of the reasons I was drawn to SPN in the first place.
Both byfaege Just read this. It's fab. Really fab. And it made me cry real human girl tears.
A Little Dead Sam to Start bydeep_south Right out of the depths of Special Hell. If you only read one Dean/dead!Sam today make it this. It should be too disturbing to contemplate but, my god, it's beautiful.
Also, this gif set on Ackleholics Anonymous It's cute : )
Also added four (three? four?) new vids to the vidrec playlist on Youtube...the first ones a doozy!

See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser-known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom who maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

Dec. 26th, 2013 08:58 pm Dear Santa...Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! Last Thursday I gave skeletncloset a kidney (1000 points). Last Sunday I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In May I helped hello_spikey see the light (8 points). In October I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). Last Tuesday I caught a purse-snatcher who stole skin_weaver's purse (30 points).Overall, I've been nice (1383 points). For Christmas I deserve an XBox 360!

I made this earlier to wish you all a Merry Whateveryou'recelebrating.
It's not actually snowing here, everything is under about six inches of mud and fallen
trees from the bad weather we've been having but I thought a dog covered in mud wasn't
quite as festive as one wearing a Steve Jobs jumper : )
Turns out the least Xmassy thing of all though are chocolate Brownies.
My dog ate three.
She is now in the hospital for Xmas eve and potentially tomorrow too.
And spending the rent money I managed to scrape together for January.
And when I look at that beautiful face it's all worth it.

As I'm trudging round to the other end of it with two tired dogs, an awkward heavy bag and the week long headache threatening to return, my 'oh man, hope we can get back into the house' turns somewhat abruptly into a 'oh man, do we really want to go back to the house' when the army bomb disposal rolls by.
( So this happened... )
Anyway...*hugs you all*...enough of that x
